Wednesday, December 14th, 2011

Finding the best rug cleaning NJ has to offer can be difficult, especially when you’re dealing with a beloved family heirloom or an expensive piece of finery. No doubt you will be worried. Questions like, “Will my rug be damaged in the process? Can they really clean or restore it?” and, “How can I be sure which company to trust?” will undoubtedly cross your mind, and for good reason. These are all valid concerns, and plenty of rug cleaning NJ businesses just don’t understand the importance of taking special care of Oriental and Persian rugs or how to determine the different needs between woven wool and silk dyes.

Oriental Rug Care NY has been in the business for nearly four decades, so they understand your concerns. Although you can vacuum, spot-clean, or even hand-wash your priceless rug at home, there’s simply no substitute for having it cleaned in-house at a cleaning company. It doesn’t matter if your rug is an antique Persian or a modern area rug you bought brand new last year—Oriental Rug Care NY will work thoroughly to inspect, gently wash, and liven up your rug. It will return to your home, once again to dominate the floor space, smelling fresh and looking revitalized. No other rug cleaning NJ business can reach that level of professional service.

Pickup in your home or apartment is free, as is return delivery of the finished product. A professional team will come to your home to bring the rug back to our state-of-the-art New Jersey facility. The piece will be inspected to determine the best course of action. Typical issues that are readily addressed are pet waste, spillage, stains, and other types of damage. After the cleaning process, the rug will be hung out to dry in a specialized drying room before it is groomed and returned back to your home free of charge.

Twenty-four-seven emergency services are available in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey, and Connecticut, so contact Oriental Rug Care immediately if you suspect imminent damage from stains. Whether you live in the Big Apple or in smaller towns in the northern part of the state, such as Brockport or Fredonia, you will find that keeping rugs clean in New York can be no easy task. This is primarily due to the weather patterns within the East Coast, which cause sticky, humid summers and cold, slushy winters. To help prevent this, it’s helpful to take a look at some of the top rug cleaning NY tips.

Rug Cleaning NY

Saturday, February 26th, 2005

Rugs that aren’t well-maintained will eventually lose their distinct color. It’s only a matter of time when that rug of yours will be covered by soil and grime. What can make the situation even more difficult is that the dirt and grime can soak deep through the rug fibers. In situations like this, we all wish that we had a self-cleaning rug. For this and other similar situations, we will need to depend on companies that offer professional rug cleaning services.

Rug problems like spills, pet wastes and other damages happen all the time. Many rugs have a stain-resistant treatment that does not allow the spill to be absorbed into the rug right away, giving you a few minutes to start taking action. However, this doesn’t mean that you can just leave it there and do nothing about it. Your rug should be cleaned at least twice a week. Your precious rugs need to be cleaned the proper way, so you should at least get an idea of how to do it right. This is why you will need the services of professional cleaners. Rug should be cleaned frequently and properly.

If you own specific types of rugs, such as handmade Persian and Oriental rugs, antique rugs, as well as modern rugs, you’ll also need expert help. Always keep in mind that the more expensive a rug, the more delicate it is. And of course, the more fragile the rug, the more you should think of hiring a professional rug cleaner to handle your cleaning problems. Many certified rug cleaners provide home service for rugs that are too big or too heavy to take into their shops. At Oriental Rug Care NY, we will be happy to take care of your rugs, and it doesn’t matter whether they’re Persian, Oriental, or the ordinary ones.

Our company has been in the business for 37 years. The specialized rug cleaners of Oriental Rug Care NY are trained extensively to cleanse those grime and dirt out of your carpets and rugs. Aside from rug cleaning, we are also skilled and adept in the following services: carpet cleaning, carpet and rug dyeing, stain and odor removal, and fire and flood damage restoration among others. So if you have problems with your rugs and carpets, feel free to call Oriental Rug Care NY anytime you need to!

Rug Cleaning

Thursday, February 26th, 2004

There are many kinds of rugs, from luxurious Persians and Orientals to fun and fanciful flokati and children’s rugs. They can be used to warm up any room such as living room areas, hallways and bedrooms. There are a wide variety of materials, designs and colors available along with seemingly endless options for rugs in any home. But care for these pieces often require regular rug cleaning.

Your fine rug collects as much dirt and grime as your regular carpeting. However, it is totally understandable if you won’t give them frequent vacuuming. After all, these are very expensive and may also be considered as fragile pieces. But when can you tell that your rug needs cleaning?

To determine how dirty a rug is, try one of these methods:

1. Pick up a corner of the rug and while holding it, kick the back of the rug sharply. If you see a cloud of
dirt flying out of the pile, the rug is dirty and needs cleaning. NOTE: some dust and wool fibers are
normal!
2. Kneel down on the rug and rub the pile forcefully with your hand in a short sweep for 5 to 10 seconds.
Observe your fingers and palm if they are dirty, then the rug needs cleaning.
3. With the pile facing up, fold part of the rug back upon itself so that the pile opens along a line of
knots. Look down into the base of the pile at the foundation of the rug. If the warp and woven fabric
look dirty, this is proof of the presence of dirt deep in the pile, in an area (or areas) that a home
vacuum cleaner cannot reach it. Clearly, the rug needs to be cleaned.

There is absolutely no harm if you clean your rugs yourself. However, some pieces are so fragile that the only way to properly maintain them is to feed them with proper care and handling. There are many methods to professional rug cleaning and here at Oriental Rug Care NY, you can be assured that your priced rugs are in capable hands.

As a fully licensed and insured carpet cleaner in New York, we wipe out any obstacle that prevents us from making our customers appreciate their rugs. Our skills include the following services: carpet and rug cleaning, stain and odor removal, carpet and rug dyeing, carpet and rug repair. So don’t wait any longer, call us now and see how your rugs can look magnificently new!

Handmade Rug Cleaning

Wednesday, February 26th, 2003

The embodiment of any well-kept residence has always been cleanliness. Anyone can affirm to this when you find yourself living comfortably in an organized and well-managed interior. No one wants to be in a place where things are distorted and reeking of all the nasty scent that exists. It’s funny that most people would overlook the importance of carpets and rugs, especially with the fact that this home upholstery brings out the feel of comfort of the house. Synthetic and handmade rug cleaning should always be practiced because you will never know if friends or relatives drop by for a visit. To make sure that your carpets and rugs are thoroughly cleaned, you will need to contact professionals and experts in handmade rug cleaning.

Now, how is the cleaning of handmade rugs different from standard rug cleaning? First of all, handmade rugs are usually artistically appealing and at the same time, almost fragile. It’s not easy cleaning a handmade rug. You can’t simply apply shampoo on it or even brush it. Carpet detergents or shampoos hardly pull out any of the tough filth that is stuck deep into any rug or carpet. Some of these store brand shampoos can only rinse out the soap placed into the rug upon cleaning. Over many uses, this soap can build up to actually make the floor more disgusting and vile. More often than not, inexperienced users waste minutes and hours cleaning intensively only to find out that they overdid it.

You’ll see that the fibers and threads are all fuzzed up, and colors have dulled and faded due to constant use of strong contents from the detergents. It is during times like these; during times when you cannot handle all the dirty job that you call on or think about hiring certified professional carpet cleaners like Oriental Rug Care NY in Astoria, New York.

At Oriental Rug Care NY, our specialized rug cleaners are trained extensively to cleanse all the grime and dirt out of your carpets and rugs. Handmade rug cleaning is just the tip of the iceberg. We at Oriental Rug Care NY are also skilled and adept in the following services: carpet and rug dyeing, stain and odor removal, and fire and flood damage restoration among others. So if you have problems with your rugs and carpets, call Oriental Rug Care NY now and get only the best services
